Tektalent has partnered exclusively with our client whom are a high growth SaaS innovator that integrate with the world of Audio Visual & Unified Communications. Our client's platform acts as the single overarching AV & UC management platform, deployed at enterprise scale into the cloud without limitations. This platform has taken the Australian market by storm, as they currently work with a large amount of blue chip logo's, and excitedly the business has launched in the overseas market, meaning massive growth ahead & huge opportunity for the individual who is lucky enough to secure this role. They also provided managed services for the AV & UC space as an added solution to the stack.

The role is more of a Business Development Director position, where you will have full autonomy to grow the brand's presence with net new logo's across Australia within many verticals, although the main two verticals are Education & tier 1 corporate. You will be rewarded with an uncapped commission plan, which will allow you to make commission on every deal that you do, you will also benefit from a high base & a business that has not restructured and has securely been stable over their 7 years tenure in the market.

The role is mainly focused on Business development and new business acquisition, however, you will also get the opportunity to head up the sales department and build & grow a dynamic team were the role will morph into more of a leadership role down the road.

Role responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key verticals such as Higher Education, corporate, education and government

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets, ensuring alignment with marketing, business development and customer acquisition strategies through close collaboration with the Growth Team.

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team

Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, technology leaders, and key stakeholders while leveraging an existing network of industry contacts to generate leads and drive new business opportunities

Understand client needs and articulate the value proposition and benefits of the businesses' managed service offerings to drive sales

Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions to secure high-value, long-term deals

Ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation, working closely with customer success and technical teams

Your key attributes & experience needed

5 + years in a Business development role within technology solution sales

Proven business development background in hunting net new business, developing GTM & building your own pipeline in your given territory

Industry background in either AV, IoT or Software (SAAS) sales

Experience selling into the enterprise market with long sales cycle and high value deals

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities

leadership, team management and coaching skills.

Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, scaling sales teams and driving business growth

Deep understanding of working with CRMs and sales automation tools to track pipeline and performance.

This is a complete market ownership role across all of Aus, meaning huge opportunity to make commission & impact on revenue for the business, no restrictions on the verticals you can go after or territory

Current sales process and tools in place, which need to be adopted and refined to be more structured & improved for the business moving forward

Solutions based selling into the enterprise market – sales cycle of 6 – 12 months - meaning no transactional sales

You will be coming in as the most senior person within the sales function

Not a cow boy sales environment

This is NOT a start-up, very established & successful business going through growth

The current culture and team are young & dynamic

Current sales model has been heavily reliant on organic growth, meaning huge untapped potential for a true hunter to go after new business & benefit from the uncapped commission plan

Have the opportunity to make your mark & refine the current sales environment, essentially you will be the head of sales and be able to build a team beneath you

Efficient interview process which will be streamlined

Comm structure will be uncapped and will pay commission on all sales

The role will be selling a market leading software platform & managed service for the AV space

You will have the opportunity to opt into share scheme

7 years in market and have recently opened doors into the UK / US markets which will continue to drive massive growth for the business

The business has seen stable year on year growth and a secure and stable team with no restructures

You will have the full support from the executive leadership team to ensure you’re successful
