We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Venue Manager to join the dynamic team at Flock at the Carrington, located in Bungendore NSW. As the Venue Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our popular and vibrant venue, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times and driving the overall success of the business. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the growth and development of our well-established hospitality brand.

Flock at the Carrington is a heritage listed building surrounded by manicured grounds and gardens boasting the largest beer garden between Canberra and the coast. Also located at The Carrington Inn is a 26 room boutique hotel with Function and Conference facilities.

What you'll be doing
• Manage all aspects of the venue's operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Function management
• Ensure a consistently high level of customer service and engagement, fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the venue's performance, increase revenue, and maintain a competitive edge in the market
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of hospitality professionals, providing coaching and support to help them excel in their roles
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including liquor licensing and workplace health and safety
• Collaborate marketing to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and events

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar venue management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Function experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization
  • Thorough understanding of liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and other relevant regulations
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business needs
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
