About the role

Bedingfeld Park Aged Care is seeking a part-time Payroll Officer to join our team in Pinjarra, WA. In this key role, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll and supporting our employees with all payroll-related enquiries.

What you'll be doing

Process fortnightly end to end payroll for (no. of employees) employees, including calculation of wages, leave entitlements, superannuation, and salary packaging

Ensure all payroll records are maintained accurately and up-to-date

Manage payroll compliance tasks such as superannuation, PAYG, STP reporting, terminations and FBT

Respond to employee enquiries about pay, leave, and other payroll-related matters in a timely manner

Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as HR and Finance, to resolve payroll issues

Assist in the development and improvement of payroll procedures and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Review timesheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies

Assist in interim and final external audit

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience in a payroll officer or similar role

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Working knowledge of payroll software and practices

Understanding of relevant payroll legislation/Awards and regulations

Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
