MAYDAY Recruitment is seeking an experienced people leader to take on a rewarding role in financial reporting and regulatory services with a global banking institution.

- Lead a specialist team and drive key financial and regulatory reporting deliverables.

Main responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of Financial Accountants responsible for regulatory and financial reporting deliverables.
- Oversee client relationships and act as the key escalation point for queries and technical issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with SLAs, APRA standards, and internal risk controls.
- Lead initiatives to improve process efficiency, automation, and risk mitigation.
- Support transitions and new client onboarding, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, risk, and product teams.
- Represent the team in industry forums and internal change initiatives.
The ideal candidate:
- 6–8 years’ experience in financial reporting or regulatory services within financial services ideally.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience is a must.
- Background in fund services, superannuation, custodianship, or Big 4 firms highly regarded.
- Deep understanding of APRA and Australian accounting/reporting standards.
- Strong knowledge of unit trusts and their tax implications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with a degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
