The Role

We’re on the lookout for a motivated Business Development Executive to drive local sales opportunities and build strategic partnerships for our Canberra property.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and converting new business across key segments, with a strong focus on the local Canberra market. Your portfolio will include government, education (schools), sporting, corporate, and non-profits.

This role will see you actively seeking out new partnerships, building strong relationships, and managing both inbound and outbound sales opportunities. You’ll develop tailored proposals, negotiate contracts, and close group bookings, all while championing the Drifter brand and helping to grow our local presence.

Your success will directly contribute to our revenue goals, and you’ll play a key role in shaping how Drifter connects with the Canberra community.

Who we’re looking for

• Proven experience in hotel or accommodation sales, with a focus on corporate, government, and group segments
• Strong local network in the Canberra market, with a good understanding of its unique dynamics
• Demonstrated success in both inbound and outbound sales
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader national team
