As the Project Officer you will support the CESR program delivery team to ensure the successful delivery of a payroll upgrade project and initiatives to our customers across Queensland Health for the benefit of all Queenslanders.
What you'll do
You will:
- Support and coordinate the delivery of specialised projects and small work packages involving ICT, ensuring solutions delivered are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment.
- Monitor resources and expenditures within the agreed work package budgets against the project forecasts.
- Support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
- Maintain program/project files in accordance with Queensland Health regulations and policies.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Experience supporting complex project planning, reporting at program and project level, managing budgets, program governance, procurement, vendor and contract management. You will have attention to detail and be structured and methodical in your approach.
- Proven ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels or stakeholder groups and facilitate the business change decision-making processes and the planning and implementation of change.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2) and provide advice using appropriate project management techniques within a complex project environment.
- Extensive experience in project risk analysis, with a strong ability to track risk factors, identify potential impacts, and ensure proactive mitigation strategies.
- Skills in preparing structured risk reports, analysing trends, and presenting key insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Proven experience in minute-taking with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate meeting requests, manage inbox correspondence, and oversee reporting processes & schedules.
- Understanding of onboarding and recruitment procedures, with a willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
