As the Procurement Officer you will be responsible for the management of low to medium value and low to medium complexity procurement activities in order to deliver value for money through the implementation of best practice Advisory & Continuous Improvement.

What you'll do

You will:

  • Undertake market analysis, drive continuous improvement, implement standard procurement processes, deliver general sourcing activities, and support contract negotiation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge database of supplier's markets, capabilities and technology and supporting the implementation of strategic commercial agreements that optimise value for money.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Has demonstrated experience in procurement identifying opportunities to improve the value delivered from every dollar spent and in delivering the initiatives required to secure that value.
  • Initiates and participates in activities designed to develop and foster professional relationships. Displays a willingness to learn from others.
  • Is capable of considering alternative actions to resolve challenges. Able to make recommendations based on analysis of data and options.
  • Makes informal contact with a variety of stakeholders to help develop relationships. Initiates and participates in activities to improve rapport and develop relationships to drive outcomes.
  • Applies knowledge of industry, market and business trends to prioritise activities.
  • Continuously looks to improve the health, safety and environmental performance of Queensland Health
