About the Role

We seek Field Support Engineers to join our IT Infra team in Orange, NSW or Bathurst. You will play a vital role in a network infrastructure upgrade project for a major client, focused on switches and access points refreshes across designated sites.

This role will suit IT field technicians with strong hardware deployment, network patching, and structured cabling experience.' Open to consider applicants from Sydney or Melbourne if you are keen to consider this short-term opportunity

Your Responsibilities

Refresh, repatch and test all switches, routers, and access point (AP) controllers

Decommission and package existing hardware

Install new switches, stacking cables, patch leads, and hardware as per the instructions provided.

Install wireless access points (APs) at existing and new locations

Assist in on-site testing and validation of installed devices

Ensure proper documentation and return of decommissioned equipment

Your Skills

Familiarity with switch stacking, AP deployment, and cable patching

Strong understanding of LAN environments and basic networking

Ability to follow technical instructions and site floor plans

Physically capable of performing hardware installation tasks

A vehicle and a valid driver's license

All tools, hardware, and instructions will be provided

Travel, accommodation and parking arrangements will be discussed

Work hours: typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to site schedule)
