Our client is a privately owned international supplier of high-end commercial workstations and loose furniture. A true market leader within the space that is synonymous with quality and creating beautiful spaces.
The company is known for its consultative, insight-driven approach to solving workplace challenges and its ability to deliver holistic solutions to suit all workplace needs. With a strong pipeline of projects and a substantial national client database, they are now seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive growth with new corporate clients across Australia.
The Role
This newly created role is a high-impact, national position focused on managing and developing business with major commercial end-user clients. Based in Sydney’s CBD, and working alongside a collaborative local team, you’ll work across a wide portfolio of potential clients.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders and promoting an end-to-end suite of commercial workplace solutions.
This is a strategic, consultative role – and requires a commercially astute, relationship-driven professional who can lead with insight and deliver national growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with large, multi-state end-user clients (70% clients in Sydney, 30% interstate)
- Engage with C-level executives and senior decision-makers within key corporates such as Telstra, NAB, and Rolex.
- Promote a comprehensive product and service offering
- Develop long-term client strategies and business development plans aligned with the company’s goals.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline
- Regular interstate travel to support client meetings, site visits, and project development.
- Represent the company at presentations, events, and executive meetings with key clients and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in business development, account management, or strategic sales within commercial interiors, furniture, property, or a related industry.
- Furniture sales experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience working with technical stakeholders (Architects, Designers, End-users, Facility Managers, Project Managers etc)
- Strong network and ability to influence senior stakeholders, particularly within property, workplace, and facilities teams.
- Excellent consultative sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy, supported by a strong national team infrastructure.
- Based in Sydney, with flexibility for interstate travel as required.
