About the opportunity
The Senior Project Officer works in the delivery team within the EPMO and is deployed to manage and coordinate the development, implementation and or evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
Key challenges include facilitating appropriate input, consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders including volunteers, managing within agreed timelines, and across their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests. Achieving project deadlines and milestones to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess relevant experience in delivering system developments, projects and/or process improvements using agile methods, meeting state government governance requirements.
- Have demonstrated project management experience in the successful delivery of significant projects within a large organisation with a geographically dispersed workforce
- Have a thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and/or willingness to obtain competence within 12 months through participation in training provided by NSW SES
- Be proficient in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating effectively to influence and negotiate.

- You will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needs

- Attractive salary range of $125,693.00 to $138,510.00 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading

We are a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance to the people of NSW 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is the approximately 9,000 volunteers across the state that make this possible. NSW SES Volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them many different skills, interests and backgrounds. They are united by the purpose of supporting their communities in times of need.
While our major responsibilities are for flood and storm emergencies, NSW SES also provides the majority of general rescue effort in the rural parts of the state.
