We invite you to become a valued part of the Research, Policy and Performance Excellence team at the Victorian Catholic Education Authority as a Senior Project Officer, Capital Strategy.

What you’ll Do

The Senior Project Officer, Capital Strategy, will play critical role in leading analysis, reporting and policy development; especially in relation to enrolment patterns and capital funding received from state and federal governments for Catholic education in Victoria.

Lead analysis of demographic, enrolment, and school provision data to support strategic capital funding decisions.

Coordinate Catholic education’s engagement with early learning policy and government initiatives, including kindergarten funding on non-government school sites.

Support the development of research, policy, and strategic projects aligned with VCEA’s objectives through data analysis, consultation, and evidence-based insights.

Represent VCEA in internal, cross-sectoral, and national forums related to early learning and statewide service planning.

Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrated experience in supporting or leading research involving data analysis, preferably in the education sector.

Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects, set priorities, and deliver results within established timelines and budget constraints.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to collect and interpret data, conduct research, and provide evidence-based insights and recommendations.

Well developed communication skills, with the ability to produce and present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.

Interpersonal skills that have been refined throughout your career enabling you to engage and collaborate with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.

High proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Power BI will set you up for success.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Education or a related field.

A minimum of three years’ experience in management or public policy consulting, or within a corporate or public sector strategy role, preferably within the education sector.
