About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Principal Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a large, complex public sector department. This role is responsible for delivering the annual budget build, providing expert financial advice and supporting executive decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to make a measurable impact in a service-driven organisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to enhance financial outcomes
• Managing financial operations, including annual budgets, reconciliations, monthly reporting and variance analysis
• Providing strategic and operational financial advice on budget planning, resource allocation, and funding models
• Managing integrated financial reporting frameworks and controls
• Leading and mentoring a small finance team

Your Talents:

• Demonstrated experience in financial management within a large, service-based or government organisation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage staff effectively
• Technical proficiency in enterprise-level financial systems and analytics tools i.e. SAP, PowerBI, and Excel
• Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce highly desirable
• Professional membership with CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred
• Healthcare Industry experience is strongly regarded
