About the Role

An exciting full-time position is available for an Accounts All-Rounder to work onsite with our support office team in South Melbourne. The role is a temporary position, covering maternity leave, from 26 May 25 to 16 Jan 26, with the possibility to extend the contract. Ideally, you are quick on your feet and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Accurately processing supplier invoices

· A timely preparation of payment runs

· Reconcile suppliers’ statement, AP ledgers, bank accounts, and credit card transactions

· Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable related reports and journals

· Assist in the implementation of best practise financial internal controls, policies, and processes

· Support payroll’s onboarding and offboarding processes

· Assist with maintaining the parents accounts, applying the correct daily rates, siblings’ discounts, and holiday rates

· Understand the regulations and processes for Child Care Subsidy and the cessation of care

· Actively listening when dealing with accounts-related inquiries from parents, centre managers as well as providing outstanding customer service.

· Manage incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence, directing to the relevant centres with warmth and friendly customer service.

· Perform ad-hoc duties

Skills & experience

· Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

· Understanding intercompany transactions

· Ability to work effectively to deadlines as well as support finance team to meet tight deadlines

· Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks

· Detail-oriented and organised

· An excellent team player with a customer-service mindset

· Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders

· Intermediate computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office

· Strong knowledge of Xero
