The Opportunity:

Join a leading Australian financial services organisation as a Payroll Specialist and take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a large, dynamic workforce. The Role:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll. You’ll contribute to process improvements, maintain compliance and provide advice to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll including adjustments, terminations, leave reconciliations, and one-off payments

Ensure payroll accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements

Interpret complex awards and agreements, proactively identify discrepancies and correct them

Document payroll processes and support continuous improvement initiatives

Respond to payroll queries with professionalism and a solutions-focused attitude

About You:

Solid experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees

Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, super, and leave entitlements

Proficient in Payroll software (Micropay Meridian, Chris21 or Dayforce highly regarded)

Experience interpreting EBAs and using time and attendance systems

Advanced Excel skills and a keen eye for detail

Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset
