Qualifications & experience
Minimum level: Bachelor of Food Science (or equivalent) Ideally, you will also have: • Experience in a food production facility; and • Training in HACCP, GMP, Food Legislation, and Labelling.
Tasks & responsibilities
Reporting directly to the QA Manager, you will have a passion for excellence in all things food!
Experience working within QA systems (esp. FSSC22000) and a key role in creating a safe, happy and productive workplace and “best in category” food products
Excellent communication skills as you will work across the QA, Technical and Production Teams, encouraging and enforcing compliance with Quality Assurance Systems (QAS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Providing support and conducting set projects or investigations related to Quality Assurance programs and preparing related reports and QA documentation as required
Conducting equipment calibration as per internal calibration procedures and schedules
Implementing corrective and preventative action as per QAM’s instructions
Conducting staff inductions and assisting the TM in annual staff training activities, including CCP training of staff, OH&S and GMP Requirements and HACCP Awareness training
A passion for the development and commercialisation of premium products by providing support to the R & D Team, conducting set projects/investigations, preparing reports and related internal documentation
A keen understanding of food safety and labelling regulations and applications.
A focus on quality standards and enthusiasm for inspections, testing, and analysis of both incoming and outgoing products, including tracking, analysis and issue resolution.
Excellent communication skills, which will allow you to liaise across the whole organisation and play a key role in maintaining and improving production guides and food safety documentation.
Conducting regular site GMP inspections as part of the internal audit program, recommending, implementing and overseeing necessary improvements as required
An enquiring mind that actively seeks out areas for improvements and streamlining of the existing QAS programs
