Senior Accountant | Combination of Management and Financial Accountant

About the Role

This is a key role supporting the Finance Director in delivering strategic insights and driving performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
  
  
• Provide meaningful financial analysis that links reports to strategic business decisions.
  
  
• Collaborate across departments to deliver key operational and financial outcomes.
  
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and their teams.
  
  
• Assist with the annual budget process, including forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with year-end treasury deadlines.
  
  
• Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance Director.
  
  

Proven experinece in:

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  
  
• Demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting reporting packs.
  
  
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
  
  
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  
  
• Confident presenting financial information to non-financial audiences.
  
  
• Creative problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  
  
• Strong systems experience, particularly with SAP, TM1, and BW.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  
  
• Experience working within government and/or independent agency environments is advantageous.
  
  
• Prior experience in a similar Finance Business Partner or senior commercial finance role.
