Tektalent has partnered with our flagship client whom are a leading IT solutions provider that provide industry leading customer service & technical advice across many verticals. We have been asked to assist with recruiting a Sales Manager to lead the whole sales function which is split between Canberra & Brisbane, however the role is Canberra based.
The the purpose of this role is to maintain and retain customer satisfaction, revenue and brand awareness. To be an advocate for the businesses' service offerings and to help grow the business. The Sales Manager role sits in the consulting team and reports to the Managing Director.
This is a permanent role & offers the luxury of being hybrid which heading into 2025 is a luxury not many will be able to retain in the market.
Position-specific tasks or responsibilities:
Manage the consulting team and look after their wellbeing, workload and accountabilities
Manage the assigned account base and identify opportunities for net new customer acquisition
Identify opportunities within the current customer accounts to increase SOW and assist in aligning with the customers business outcomes
Build prospect pipelines and forecast opportunities with current customers
Manage the customer pipeline and accurately forecast
Build revenue and GP through ongoing Customer Management
Be the first contact point for current customers from a sales, account management, accounts, and customer service perspective
Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
Act in a sales support function when required
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products and value proposition
Work closely with vendors to understand market offerings
Assist in RFT / RFQ and act as support for these for current customers including contract renegotiations
Regularly contribute sales content to Marketing and present in business webinars or podcasts
Attend regular trade shows, events and conferences and regularly post on LinkedIn promotional activities
Assist when required with the professional services team to assist with client project work
Travel requirements to Sydney and Brisbane may be required - rarely
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years IT sales and customer service experience
3+ years sales management / leadership experience
1 + years experience working in a traditional managed services provider environment or IT services business
Understanding and knowledge of server, storage, networking and cloud technologies
Knowledge & understanding of current digital transformation trends within the modern MS Stack
