About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Orthopaedic + Spine and Neurosurgical ward on a casual basis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established surgical nursing team. The role is permanent part time covering 48hours a fortnight on a rotating roster.

As a Registered Nurse - Surgical your responsibilities will include:

Your duties will include

• Provide evidenced based nursing care to patients undergoing our Orthopaedic and other surgical procedures
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting
• Experience in a post-surgical ward ideal but not mandatory
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
