The role
CBCity is seeking a Coordinator Business Services to join the team and support our Planning Directorate.
This pivotal role leads and coordinates high quality business services, overseeing workflows, administrative functions and process improvements to drive operational excellence.
You'll manage a high-performing team, support budgeting and reporting, coordinate projects and lead communications across the Directorate.
With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement, the Coordinator will play a key role in delivering efficient business operations aligned with strategic goals in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Team & Operational Support: Lead the business services team, manage workflows and projects and drive process improvements and staff development to boost performance.
- Finance & Budgeting: Support managers with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while managing invoices, purchase orders and expenditure tracking.
- Communications & Web: Oversee internal and external communications, website updates and the creation of newsletters and key materials.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare high-quality reports and submissions, analyse data to inform decisions and maintain accurate reporting records.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement streamlined business processes, document procedures and align operations with strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships across teams, promote collaboration and provide regular updates on business performance.

You will have
- Tertiary qualifications (e.g. MBA) and/or extensive senior-level experience in business services coordination.
- Solid background in business coordination, administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the NSW planning system.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Experience driving process improvements and enhancing customer experience.
- Skilled in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, briefings, and formal correspondence.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, experience with collaboration tools like Wrike or Monday.com, project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP), and experience in customer-facing roles within service environments are desirable but not essential.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $111,988 (Grade I, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
