About the Role
The Business Growth and Engagement Lead is a newly created role focused on identifying and scoping new geographical regions for CanToo’s run and swim programs. This role is part time - 3 days per week, for an initial 6-month term, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. Some regional and interstate travel will be required.
This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring a balance of stakeholder engagement, logistical thinking, and commercial acumen. You’ll conduct detailed feasibility assessments, develop business cases, and build relationships with key partners and communities—laying the foundation for our next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Scoping and evaluating new regions for program delivery through demographic analysis, site visits, and community engagement.
Conducting feasibility studies to identify the most viable and impactful locations
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local councils, community organisations, coaches, and event organisers
Developing business cases and financial models to assess ROI and ensure sustainable program expansion
Collaborating with our Philanthropy Associate to report on progress and support funding opportunities
Presenting findings to the CEO and leadership team
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in business development, market expansion, or strategic projects
Strong commercial skills, including financial modelling and ROI analysis
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A practical thinker who can balance big-picture strategy with operational detail
Knowledge of the fitness, health, or not-for-profit sectors (highly regarded)
Passion for community health and wellbeing
