Youth Services Supervisor

Level 5 - $111,942.30 (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance)

*Increasing to $115,619.99 as of 1st July 2025

The Role

Are you passionate about empowering young people in our community and have experience in developing and delivering youth-focused programs? Do you thrive in a supportive and caring environment?

If so, join our team as a Youth Services Supervisor!

In this full-time permanent position, you will be a key player in creating and facilitating innovative youth programs and events that cater to the needs of young people aged 12 to 25 at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub and the wider Hedland community. You will lead the youth services team, oversee youth services operations, and serve as a positive role model for the young people who access our services.

Our ideal applicant will have tertiary qualifications in community engagement, community development, or another relevant field, experience in seeking and applying for grants and funding and demonstrated ability in engaging with young people and community groups.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital works program, and a number of other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment, to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • National Police Clearance;
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's License;
  • Working with Children Check Card;
  • First Aid Certificate; and
  • Rights to work in Australia
