Crafty Monk Brewing is seeking a Beverage Supervisor for an immediate start. Our venue offers a full dining experience and is newly opened on New Cleveland Road, Tingalpa. We’re on a mission to create the ultimate hangout that captures the heartbeat of the neighbourhood and its vibrant community. Crafty Monk Brewing boasts a full kitchen and bar, with an outdoor kitchen and microbrewery due for completion in June, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner service, redefining the microbrewery experience. With total seating for 250 people, we have 2 outdoor areas as well as indoor seating, with versatile function spaces.

The Beverage Supervisor position is a hands on, leadership role which will assist in the effective running of the venue. The role will enable you to improve guest satisfaction by maintaining efficiency of service, general product and technical knowledge, and exceptional standard of delivery and professionalism. You will oversee and assist FOH staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring the venue is prepared and organised to meet business requirements.

A few of your responsibilities

Supervise team members and assist the leadership team with any training and development needed for team members

Monitor the quality of food and beverage service to ensure high standards are always maintained

Ensure a high level of guest experience is always provided in the venues and is professional, hospitable, timely, effective, and efficient

Set specific daily performance objectives for all team members and supervise the service flow

Make recommendations to Management that will assist in maximising revenue and minimising costs to meet company and division budgets

What we are looking for

Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role, supervising teams with confidence and effectiveness

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment while juggling multiple tasks seamlessly

Strong beer and wine knowledge and excellent barista skills

Cocktail experience will be highly regarded

Have availability 7:30am to 10:30pm Mon to Fri & 11am to 10:30pm on weekends as well as adaptability to various scheduling needs

Expertise in building rapport with a diverse range of guests, ensuring exceptional experiences for everyone

A creative ideas person that will help business growth by recommending ideas for events, special offers and experiences

About you

You will have proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your ability to lead, mentor and encourage your team. Your thorough understanding of RSA compliance coupled with your RSA Certificate and RMLV, will see you create a safe environment for guests and team members alike.

You’ll bring a track record of Beverage leadership, preferably in high volume bars, restaurants, or hotels, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire teams. Communication is your forte, effortlessly connecting with a diverse range of guests where every interaction creates a memorable experience.
