The Role
The Project Designer will work collaboratively with Asset Engineering and the Project Delivery Team to efficiently use contemporary civil engineering design technology and techniques to develop fit-for-purpose designs that facilitate ongoing and improved service delivery to the community.
As a valued member of the Project Delivery team the Project Designer will use their knowledge and skills to produce designs which are readily constructible, are cost effective and fit-for-purpose.
About You
As the Project Designer, you will have a minimum of an associate degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field although consideration will be given to applicants who don’t hold a formal qualification but have demonstrated extensive civil design experience.
The Projects Designer will contribute to the overall success of the following key outcomes for Council:
· Designs shall be produced efficiently, utilising the appropriate level of technology and leveraged on
Council’s proven design & construction knowledge and techniques
· Designs shall be developed with a view to constructability, construction risk mitigation and long- term asset sustainability at their core
· Council’s design team and supporting consultants shall be aware of and shall implement the appropriate
safety and quality standards for design works
