The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has risen to join an innovative Brisbane development construction company, that specialises in high-end housing. The local boutique business has been established for many years and delivered exclusive homes with a consistent pipeline of works underway. PAD Recruitment has partnered with a local Developer that has a proven reputation for delivering high-quality developments with brand recognition.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Principle Designer to join the business and assist the Director and Team with the Design, Documentation and Delivery of high-end luxury homes. You will also have a chance to visit the projects during their construction phases and be “upskilled” into the world of high-end property development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Architect preferably registered in QLD and or / Senior Building Designer.
5-10 years+ Experience in Architecture, Building Design or Construction.
Experience in client relationship management.
Strong documentation and design skill set using
AutoDesk Revit software & project file setup / library management.
Ability to work constructively with sub-consultants.
Demonstrated project design and management experience in the architectural industry / construction field.
Technical Skills:
Meets requirements for the National Competency Standards, or equivalent Country Specific Standards in Architecture / Building Design.
Strong Knowledge in relevant Building Codes such as NCC & BCA.
Advanced skill level in Revit/AutoCAD with a minimum of 5 years of documentation experience on housing / multi-residential.
Experience particularly in Concept Design, Design Development, construction documentation and Contract Documentation across housing / multi-residential / and the like.
Proficiency in Sketching, Adobe Creative Suite – Indesign, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat accompanied with good graphics skills is desirable.
Management of multiple tasks.
Ability to facilitate and coordinate projects from concept design to development approval.
Detail-oriented, with an eye for design aesthetics and quality.
Be responsible for construction detailing.
Coordination of consultant documentation.
Manage and respond to RFIs across multiple projects.
Manage and review shop drawings across multiple projects.
Work with in-house Project Design Team, Directors and on-site Builder across RFIs / communications etc.

Position Responsibilities:
Prepare Architectural Drawings consisting of; concept plans, development approval plans, working drawings and construction issue documentation.
Manage, coordinate and review consultant documentation to achieve building or development approval.
Coordinate the design to drive the design deliverables to ensure that the design concept meet clients’ expectations, budgets, and schedules and cohesive design solutions are being provided.
Review design documents, drawings, permits, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality expectations.
Monitor project progress, value management and provide guidance and solutions to overcome any design challenges.
Create design perspectives for each project and prepare finishes documentation.
Manage documentation of construction details specific to office standards.
Conduct site inspections as necessary for defects / track progress.
Assist the Directors to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed tolerances for time, quality, scope and cost.
Assist to ensure quality assurance processes.
Setup and manager office standards design and architecture software including templates, project sheets, libraries, families etc.
Development Management & Coordination, including local council and town planning.
