About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Practitioner Engineer to join our engineering team based in our office in Mascot. As a key contributor to the project's success of any new lift installation, you will be responsible for coordinating the designs with the builder/ architect and collate all technical documentations as required by the Design Practitioner and the requirements of the Design and Building Practitioners (DBP) Legislation.

Key Accountabilities:
- Review project specifications, tender and contract documentation, relevant drawings and reports to ensure alignment with regulatory and project requirements.
- Coordinate the integration of designs into the building with the customer whilst keeping the Project Manager informed
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure the agreed design and project inclusions are compliant with Design and Building Practitioners (DBP) regulation.
- Support the Project Manager by identifying and communicating any design or installation issues discovered during the Design Practitioner (DP) process
- Liaise with all external stakeholders to facilitate the issuance of Design Compliance Declarations (DCD) under DBP legislation.
- Maintain professional relationships with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
What we are looking for:
- A Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar areas of expertise.
- Very good communication skills to be able to liaise with a range of both internal and external stakeholders
- Good planning and time management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer orientation
