About the role:

We are seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to join our finance team. This pivotal role involves planning and conducting audits across financial, operational, and managerial systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior management and external consultants to strengthen internal controls and risk management practices while supporting strategic business goals.

Responsibilities

Conduct audits across financial, operational, and management systems to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

Identify risk areas, review internal controls, and recommend improvements

Monitor compliance with operational standards, including safety and uniform policies

Review budgets and financial reports to ensure accuracy before external audits

Assess client processes from contract setup to termination for efficiency and compliance

Analyze systems and procedures for cost-effectiveness and recommend improvements

Collaborate with senior management and consultants to report findings and support strategic decisions

Skills and Experiences

· At least 1 year of experience in internal auditing or a related finance role

· A degree (or near completion) in Accounting, Commerce, or a similar field

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver practical solutions

· Solid understanding of auditing standards, risk assessment, and financial reporting

· Familiarity with accounting software used in Australian businesses

· Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus
