About the role
Redfern Jarjum College is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Administrator to join our dynamic team. As the School Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and comprehensive administrative support to our school, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and contributing to its overall success. This full-time position is based in Redfern, NSW 2016.
What you'll be doing
Serving as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their inquiries and concerns
Maintaining and updating student records, including attendance, enrolment, and other pertinent information
Assisting with the coordination of school events, activities, and schedules
Providing administrative support to the school leadership team, including preparing documents, managing correspondence, and organising meetings
Handling financial tasks such as processing invoices, maintaining petty cash, and supporting the accounting team
Performing a variety of clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and photocopying
Ensuring the school's office environment is well-organised and maintained
Demonstrating a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to the school's mission and values
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative or receptionist role, preferably in an educational setting (school setting desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software
Knowledge of school administrative procedures and record-keeping practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and supporting the school's mission and values
