Position Overview:
Bearded Dragon Hotel is a boutique hospitality venue in the Gold Coast Hinterland, offering a unique blend of casual dining, events, and rustic accommodation experiences. We are seeking a dedicated Accommodation and Guest Services Manager to oversee the delivery of our core guest services, with responsibility for accommodation bookings, room readiness, housekeeping oversight, and front-of-house experience across day-to-day operations.
This position plays a critical coordination role between the restaurant, housekeeping, and reception areas, ensuring that all guests receive consistently high levels of service across all touchpoints.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest Accommodation & Front Office
· Manage and oversee daily accommodation bookings and reservations systems.
· Ensure timely check-ins, check-outs, and coordination of guest room preparation.
· Provide frontline support to guests on-site, assisting with inquiries and resolving service issues promptly.
· Monitor guest feedback to continuously improve service standards.
Housekeeping Oversight
· Coordinate daily housekeeping schedules and room turnaround priorities.
· Conduct routine inspections to ensure guest rooms meet hygiene and presentation standards.
· Liaise with suppliers for cleaning products and amenity restocking.
· Assist in onboarding and basic training of housekeeping team members.
Food & Beverage Service Support
· Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless transitions between accommodation and restaurant services.
· Assist in managing casual staff during peak service periods or events.
· Oversee dining area readiness for in-house guest breakfast or special packages.
Operational Coordination
· Assist with shift rosters, general staff direction, and task follow-ups.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and general venue cleanliness.
· Maintain knowledge of venue promotions, package deals, and local tourism recommendations.
Administrative Support
· Process guest transactions, basic invoicing, and incident reporting.
· Maintain accurate records for bookings, room maintenance, and guest feedback.
· Report issues and improvements to the Venue Manager.
Skills and Experience:
· At least 2 years' experience in hospitality, guest services, or accommodation operations.
· Proven ability to coordinate small teams across cleaning, reception, and service roles.
· Excellent communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
· Working knowledge of reservation systems, housekeeping protocols, and guest management practices.
· Understanding of workplace hygiene and WHS requirements in hospitality.
