Horan & Bird Solar, a leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a dynamic Customer Service & Administration Assistant to join our team. This newly created role is ideal for someone who loves variety, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys supporting a busy sales and operations team.

About the Role

This is a multi-faceted position that goes beyond a traditional receptionist role. You will be the backbone of our administrative support—handling customer interactions, assisting with job scheduling, supporting our sales team, and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering and managing inbound customer enquiries via phone and email

Scheduling and coordinating jobs and service appointments

Assisting the sales team by tracking and monitoring their workflows and customer communications

Providing administrative support to management and operational teams

Data entry, invoicing, and assisting with basic accounts tasks

Using software tools such as Simpro, CRM systems, Outlook, and Xero

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in an administrative or customer service support role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident working independently, with the ability to prioritise and multitask

Comfortable using business software like Simpro, Xero, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office/Outlook

A genuine team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Organised, detail-focused, and committed to great customer service
