Introduction:

We are currently recruiting a temporary Finance Operations Officer for leading world class NFP Education organisation. They are a leading name in the industry and show significant growth by offering world class services to their customers. You will report to the FinOps Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Data Management: Maintaining accurate records of research agreements, including deliverable, budget forecasts, and other relevant information within financial systems
• Financial Transactions: Assisting with creating invoices, purchase orders, and preparing internal financial transfers and corrections
  
• Reconciliations and Reporting: Supporting the preparation of financial reconciliations and expenditure claims, contributing to data reconciliation and other financial administrative tasks
  
• Compliance: Ensuring that financial operations adhere to university policies and regulations
  Stakeholder Communication:Communicating effectively with researchers and other stakeholders to provide financial support and information
  Process Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finance Assist/ Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices - someone who has worked in the education sector
• Proficiency in using ERP Softwares like Oracle, SAP, Kronos, Workday
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the Finance domain
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cert IV in Accounting) would be an advantage.
• Studying towards CA/ CPA
