About the role

Join the thriving team at Abode Real Estate as a Part Time Trust Accountant. This key role will see you responsible for the accurate and timely management of our client trust accounts, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of financial diligence. Working part time from our Cottesloe office, you'll play a vital role in supporting the property management and sales teams.

What you'll be doing

Reconcile and manage multiple client trust accounts to ensure strict compliance with industry regulations

Process and disburse rental payments, sales proceeds, and other client funds in a timely manner

Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, preparing reports and statements as required

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or queries

Assist with the preparation of periodic trust account audits and reviews

Provide support and advice to the property management and sales teams on all trust account matters

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Trust Accountant or similar role, ideally within the real estate industry

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills to ensure the integrity of trust accounts

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties

Proficient in the use of accounting software and trust account management systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge of relevant trust account compliance requirements
