Our client is located conveniently in Pennant Hills, minutes’ walk from public transport, whilst also offering secure parking for those preferring to drive. This a friendly team and a rewarding role. About the role
This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Monday to Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. Some of your main duties include the following:
- Work with School Principals to make sure fee management is fair, respectful, and compassionate.
- Monitor outstanding debts and follow up according to school policies.
- Prepare and keep records of all debt collection activities and maintain up-to-date files for each debtor.
- Contact parents or carers to discuss overdue fees and, where appropriate, set up payment plans, considering their financial situations.
- Review overdue accounts to identify families experiencing financial hardship and encourage them to apply for fee assistance if needed.
- Manage fee assistance applications from start to finish, ensuring timely follow-up and responses.
- Refer complex fee assistance cases to the Team Leader for support and advice.
- Work closely with school staff and other stakeholders under the guidance of the Accounts Receivable Lead.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with school staff and parents.
About you
- Supportive of the Catholic faith and its values in an educational setting
- Recent experience in debt collection, with a focus on customer service, ideally in a Not-for-Profit organisation.
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, especially in debt management.
- Strong customer service skills and experience working with diverse groups.
- Experienced in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Confident in managing difficult conversations over the phone and by email.
- Willing to obtain a working with children's check
