We are seeking a commercially minded Portfolio Optimisation Analyst to support a strategic product rationalization initiative across the ANZ region. This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Regional Strategy teams. It’s ideally suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, contract strategy, and commercial operations.
This is a full-time 6-month contract based in Sydney with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
• Commercial & Contract Impact Analysis – Review existing commercial agreements and tenders to assess the risk and business implications of product discontinuations. Work closely with Legal to ensure contractual obligations are managed appropriately.
• Strategic Portfolio Support – Contribute to the development of scalable contract variation processes to support long-term product lifecycle management across ANZ.
• Financial & Scenario Modelling – Assess financial exposure and model commercial outcomes across multiple discontinuation scenarios. Support informed decision-making for the regional team.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Act as the ANZ liaison to the regional strategic team. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain functions to coordinate aligned execution plans.
• Customer Communication – Support the development and rollout of external communication strategies to affected customers, ensuring smooth transitions and continued service excellence.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Healthcare or a related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial, business analysis, or finance roles
Strong understanding of commercial operations in healthcare or life sciences
Experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders
Proficient in Excel and commercial modelling
Preferred:
Medical device or pharmaceutical industry background
Prior experience with tenders, rebate structures, or contract amendments
Familiarity with pricing strategy, supply chain, or product lifecycle projects
Exposure to analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
