Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive quality program for clinical record scanning, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and quality checks.
- Manage a standardized training program for scanning staff, identifying training needs based on audit results.
- Support the destruction of source documents by adhering to PROV Capture Recordkeeping Standards and maintaining procedure manuals.
- Oversee processing of scanned documents, including boxing, indexing, storage, and archiving, ensuring compliance with scanning quality and documentation procedures.
- Assist with error correction in the Digital Medical Record (DMR) system and support the transition to Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Participate in HIS team meetings and provide backup support for the HIM Assistant when necessary, as well as other duties as assigned by the Director or Operations Manager.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Proficiency in delivering training and providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and trends.
- Proficient in process review and design, utilizing critical thinking to improve workflows.
- Advanced computer literacy, with accurate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to input information into the Electronic Digital Record system.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Previous administrative experience is essential, with hospital experience preferred.
