Disability Matters operates throughout the Tablelands Community from our head office based in Atherton.
The Quality Systems Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing Disability Matters Inc.'s compliance with NDIS requirements, including code of conduct, Quality and Safeguards Framework, Restrictive Practices Records Management and reporting requirements, company policies and procedures, and relevant legislation. The role involves conducting audits, identifying areas of non-compliance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and participant outcomes.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Regular audits of Disability Matters Inc.'s service delivery and operations to ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, company policies and procedures, and relevant legislation.
Implementation of corrective actions to address any issues identified through audits.
Take control of the policy framework, refresh and invigorate it to connect with a modern best practice provider.
Monitor policy compliance, and appropriateness of each policy.
Regular training and support provided to staff on policies and procedures.
Collaborative relationships established with other departments and stakeholders to ensure timely identification and resolution of compliance issues.
Accurate and timely reporting on compliance issues and performance provided to management.
Continuous improvement initiatives implemented to improve service delivery and participant outcomes.
Selection Criteria
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in quality assurance, compliance, and auditing.
Sound knowledge of NDIS requirements and relevant legislation.
Experience in developing policies and procedures and providing training and support to staff.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Highly developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
High level of ethical and professional conduct, with a focus on upholding Disability Matters Inc.'s values and principles.
Mandatory
Working with Children Card (Positive Notice or Exemption) – A valid Queensland issue (Ability to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Disability Check (Yellow Card or Exemption) – A valid Queensland issue (Ability to obtain)
Right to Work within Australia – Australian or New Zealand citizenship or relevant working visa documentation
Prepared to sign and abide by the Organisational Code of Conduct

Successful completion of the Disability Matters Induction program.
