We’re recruiting for a high-performing Senior Accounts Officer to join a leading property company. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with the Financial Controller to oversee corporate trust accounts and step in to support property management trust accounting when needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven professional ready to take ownership, drive process improvements, and grow into a trusted leadership role in a fast-moving, people-focused business.

About You

  • Experience in trust accounting within real estate, legal, insurance or related industries.
  • Solid understanding of debits and credits — formal degree preferred but not essential with relevant experience.
  • Advanced MYOB skills, including Payroll and Accounts Receivable.
  • Exposure to HR and payroll processes.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot financial discrepancies confidently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong Excel capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day corporate trust accounting transactions and ensure compliance with trust account regulations.
  • Provide support to the property management trust accounting function during peak periods or staff leave.
  • Prepare payroll data and documentation for offshore processing and assist with payroll/HR admin tasks as required.
  • Handle accounts receivable duties, including invoicing, receipting, and debtor follow-up.
  • Perform bank and trust account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Investigate and resolve account variances and transactional discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support the Financial Controller with process improvements, reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain accurate client and financial records across relevant systems.
