About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Accounting, the Finance and Accounting Officer supports the management and coordination of the organisations banking transactions, cash flow, payments and the accounts payable (procure to pay) functions and undertakes reconciliation of financial transactions. The role has the following key areas of focus:

Accounts payable and procurement support

General ledger maintenance and reconciliations

Financial accounting and analysis

Cash flow management

Teamwork and collaboration

Customer focused

About you, you have:

Experience in undertaking and coordination accounts payable, procure to pay function, and account receivable practices and procedures

Skills and experience in analysing general ledger accounting transactions to ensure integrity of financial data and reporting

In depth knowledge and understanding of contemporary finance accounting standards and practices, including the Financial Management Act

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships

Well-developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
