We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager / Lead Mechanic to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy, high-performing workshop in Rockdale. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage workflow, mentor a small team, and still get stuck into the tools when needed.

About the Role

As Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

Managing daily operations and job scheduling

Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles

Leading and mentoring apprentices and mechanics

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

Liaising with customers and providing accurate job quotes

Ensuring parts are ordered, jobs are completed on time, and service levels remain high

What You Bring

Trade-qualified mechanic (Cert III Automotive)

5+ years’ hands-on experience (including diagnostics)

Leadership experience in a workshop setting

Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent time management and attention to detail

Ability to lead by example and support the team

Desirable Extras

Pink slip / Air con licence

Familiarity with Ultra Tune systems (not essential)

Performance/tuning experience is a bonus
