About the Role:

This is a leadership position for a skilled mechanic who can manage workflow, mentor technicians, and uphold service excellence. You’ll ensure the smooth operation of our new workshop while delivering top-tier service for 4WDs, fleet vehicles, and general automotive repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee workshop operations, team productivity, and job scheduling.

Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, fostering a positive, high-performing environment.

Perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles.

Work closely with the Managing Operations and Admin team to ensure seamless daily operations.

Manage inventory, parts ordering, and supplier coordination.

Handle customer interactions, inquiries, and complaint resolution.

Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

What You’ll Need:

Australian Recognised Trade Certificate, i.e Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (minimum 5 years’ experience in Australia).

Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a managerial role.

C Class Driver’s License.

Strong mechanical and diagnostic expertise.

Ability to manage a fast-paced workshop, delegate tasks, and lead a team effectively.

Confidence in customer service, complaint handling, and workshop coordination.

National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, automotive software preferred).

Highly Advantageous:

Heavy vehicle experience.

Hybrid & EV experience.

Forklift license.

Air Conditioning License.

Strong diagnostic background.

This is a full-time, ongoing role with a negotiable salary based on experience.
