Role Overview
As our Service Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading and managing a team of skilled heavy vehicle mechanics and apprentices, ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet service department. You’ll collaborate with team members to keep everything running efficiently and ensure that every service meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the fleet workshop team, ensuring all maintenance and repairs meet the highest industry standards.
Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient workflows, maintaining excellent service delivery and on-time task completion.
Coordinate with internal teams to optimise fleet maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies in all workshop activities.
Mentor and develop a team of mechanics and apprentices, fostering continuous improvement.
Meet or exceed service delivery targets and KPIs.
Provide expert guidance and resolve complex mechanical issues, ensuring the highest quality control.
Manage all workshop admin, including job allocation, parts ordering, and reporting.
Build strong relationships with clients and departments to ensure satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 2 years in a management or supervisory role within heavy vehicle maintenance.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and manage a team of skilled mechanics and apprentices.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and ability to multitask effectively.
Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal stakeholders.
Proactive Approach: A hands-on problem solver with a commitment to safety and best practices.
