About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Manhari Recycling, a leading scrap metal recycling company based in Campbellfield, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our recycling facility, ensuring efficient and safe processes to meet our business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement operational plans and strategies to optimise productivity, quality and safety

Manage and coordinate the activities of the production, maintenance and logistics teams

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Lead and motivate the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Collaborate with other departments to align operations with the overall business strategy

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Prepare and present operational reports to senior management

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior operations or production management role, preferably in the manufacturing or recycling industry

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to the industry

Tertiary qualification in engineering, operations management or a related field is highly desirable
