Our client, a large Insurer is seeking a Change Lead for a Digital Finance Transformation for an initial 12 month contract. The Change Lead for the SAP S/4HANA GL Migration Program is responsible for driving organisational change management (OCM) strategies and execution across the general ledger transformation workstream. This includes preparing finance stakeholders for changes in chart of accounts, new financial processes, system behaviours, and reporting structures. The Change Lead will enable smooth adoption, reduce resistance, and support end-user readiness to ensure successful transition to the new S/4HANA environment.
Key Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the change management strategy for the GL migration stream
- Conduct change impact assessments across finance and related business functions
- Establish and maintain a change roadmap aligned to project milestones and cutover timelines
- Identify and manage key personas, stakeholders, and change agents
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Build trusted relationships with Finance SMEs, Controllers, and Group Reporting teams
- Develop targeted communication plans and materials (e.g., newsletters, FAQs, infographics)
- Facilitate change leadership briefings and pulse checks to address concerns early
- Coordinate with Program Communications and People & Culture teams for alignment
Training & Capability Enablement
- Work with functional leads and Learning teams to define training needs (e.g., on new GL structures, ACDOCA, parallel ledgers, cost elements)
- Shape the training approach (F2F, virtual, eLearning) and oversee delivery
- Develop user guides, process walkthroughs, cheat sheets, and knowledge assets
- Support post-go-live reinforcement and just-in-time learning aids
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in organisational change management roles
- At least 2 major transformation programs involving Finance or SAP (preferably S/4HANA)
- Familiarity with GL migration impacts: chart of accounts changes, ACDOCA, document splitting, parallel ledgers, etc.
- Prosci, Change First, or equivalent change methodology certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, or related discipline
- Experience in regulated or complex matrix organisations (e.g., financial services, insurance) desirable
