Job Title: Carpenter Leading Hand
Location: Canberra Area

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Carpenter Leading Hand to join our team and help deliver high-quality residential projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong carpentry background, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a small team of carpenters and subcontractors on-site

Interpret and work from plans and specifications

Coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards

Ensure OH&S compliance and maintain a clean, safe worksite

Liaise with trades and suppliers as required

Hands-on carpentry work as needed

Requirements:

Trade qualified carpenter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience

Proven experience in a leading hand or supervisory role

Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret construction plans

Excellent time management and communication skills

Current driver’s licence and own tools

White Card (Construction Induction)
