The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Assistant and Compounding Technician to join the team at Belgian Gardens Wholelife Pharmacy & Healthfoods in Townsville, Queensland. This is a full-time or part-time role, offering flexible working arrangements, including school hours work arrangement, to suit your needs.

What you'll be doing

Assisting pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications

Compounding pharmaceutical preparations as directed by pharmacists

Maintaining accurate records and inventory of pharmaceutical supplies

Providing excellent customer service to patients and answering their questions

Ensuring the pharmacy environment is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards

Supporting the wider pharmacy team as needed

What we're looking for

Experience as a pharmacy assistant or compounding technician is a bonus, training for the role will be provided to the right candidate up on starting.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals

Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, standards and best practices
