Fencing Offsider – With Opportunity to Step into a Leading Hand Role

K&Q Contracting is a small, family-run business based in Quorn, South Australia. We specialise in building high-quality rural fences and take real pride in the work we do for our clients—many of whom we’ve worked with for years.

We’re currently on the lookout for a Fencing Offsider to join our team, with the potential to step up into a Leading Hand role down the track. We’re after someone who’s hands-on, takes pride in doing a job well, and enjoys working outdoors. The position is available for an immediate start.

About the Job:
We travel to different rural areas around South Australia for work, so being comfortable with being on the road is a must. Our usual work roster is 3 weeks on, followed by 1 week off—but we’re happy to chat if you’d prefer a different arrangement.

What We’re Looking For:

Someone with some fencing or welding experience desired (formal qualifications not required)

Handy with machinery maintenance or operation—tractors, trucks, etc. (John Deere, Fiat, Kenworth, Mack experience is a bonus)

Holds a current manual driver’s licence

Physically fit and comfortable working in all kinds of weather

A Bit About You:

You’ve got a strong work ethic and like seeing a job done properly

You’re proactive, motivated, and can work without needing to be constantly supervised

You can manage your time and keep things moving on site

You’re reliable, down-to-earth, and easy to get along with

Having your own transport is a big plus

You’re an Australian citizen or have full working rights
