About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Leading Hand to join our edge protection team at Brisbane Edge Protection Pty Ltd. As the Leading Hand, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the installation and maintenance of edge protection systems at construction sites across Brisbane. This full-time position will involve working on-site, with occasional travel within our service areas.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate a team of edge protection installers to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects

Oversee the safe and compliant installation of edge protection systems, including handrails, guardrails, and other fall prevention equipment

Liaise with site managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet all safety standards

Maintain detailed records of all installation and maintenance activities

Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in the edge protection or construction industry

Demonstrated expertise in the installation and maintenance of edge protection systems

Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

A commitment to team development and a passion for mentoring and training
