In this high-impact role, you'll report to the HR Director and work closely with senior stakeholders to shape and lead employment and industrial relations across a diverse, unionised workforce. You will be the go-to expert on complex ER/IR matters, working across jurisdictions and leading strategic initiatives that influence how services are delivered at scale.

Ideally, you are immediately available for an interim contract, whilst our client seeks a permanent replacement; however, those candidates who have a notice period, or are open to longer-term/ongoing work and are highly aligned with the requirements, are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement ER/IR strategies aligned with broader commercial goals.
• Take ownership of Enterprise Agreement negotiations, including the development of bargaining plans.
• Advise on complex disputes, employment legislation, and policy interpretation.
• Represent the business in negotiations and proceedings, including unions and tribunals.
• Coach and guide leaders on ER practices, employment compliance, and workplace matters.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (People & Capability, Legal, Operations) on M&A, joint ventures, and transitions.

What You Bring:

• Deep experience as an ER/IR specialist or senior HR practitioner within complex, unionised, or operational environments.
• Proven capability in enterprise bargaining and industrial instrument management.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on experience navigating workplace legislation and industrial compliance.
• Confident communicator with a strong commercial lens and stakeholder influence.
• Experience in high-trust, multi-site, service-led organisations is highly valued.
