About Our Client
As an established and internationally recognised contractor with a diverse portfolio of works across maritime, geotechnical and dredging works, they have recently gone through a positive restructure ahead of a predicted growth phase.

As a result, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (or Project Manager looking to become) with strong technical and leadership skills to support and drive the Engineering processes on key bids and projects within the marine construction sector.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Foster and encourage the construction-led design and EPC mindset on projects
• Be an active and encouraging leader of the small engineering team, and take responsibility for organic growth of your team
• Manage all engineering and design activities to ensure they are produced on time and within budget
• Deliver and support engineering outcomes on projects, including resourcing and undertaking reviews and audits
• Manage the delivery of technically strong engineering solutions
• Provide coordination, liaison, and communication to ensure the engineering team is fully effective
• Establish systems and procedures for design and engineering to support future growth in the engineering team

You should possess the following:

• Degree Qualified (Civil, Geotechnical), with 10+ years industry experience
• Extensive experience working in a project delivery or engineering capacity with experience coordinating design teams.
• Well-versed in marine D&C projects with a demonstrable portfolio of marine projects (wharf, jetty, piling, dredging etc)
• Skilled in the delivery and execution of small-medium sized projects possessing strong managerial, technical, commercial, and contractual skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

You will have the opportunity to work within a technically strong, and down to earth team that believe in family values, creative and collaborative work environment.

This is also an opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager, with prior experience in managing the design stages of projects to also make the formal step into full time engineering management.

*Please note, if you are not based in SE QLD, this exciting opportunity will require you to relocate full-time to QLD to take up this position. Relocation package to be discussed on application.
