About the role

This full-time Property Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Focus on Mackay, a leading real estate agency in the Mackay region of Queensland. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of residential properties, ensuring optimal tenant satisfaction and maximising returns for our valued clients. Emphasis put on growing our rent role will be rewarded.

What you'll be doing

Manage the end-to-end leasing process for a portfolio of residential properties, including advertising vacancies, conducting inspections, and vetting and onboarding new tenants

Ensure timely rent collection, arrears management, and coordination of routine and emergency property maintenance

Effectively communicate with landlords and tenants, addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and responsive manner

Conduct regular property inspections and provide detailed reports to landlords

Assist with the coordination of property renovations and improvements to maintain the value of the assets

Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry best practices, ensuring compliance across all managed properties

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in residential property management, preferably within the Mackay region

Experience with PropertyMe - online management software

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with landlords, tenants, and external stakeholders

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Sound knowledge of residential tenancy legislation and industry best practices

A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate property records and documentation

Proficient in the use of property management software and relevant digital tools
