  • Base Salary HEO6 $99,455 p.a. + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The University's Property Portfolio consists of over 250 freehold and over 20 leasehold properties across its campuses, farms, student accommodation and other sites.

The role of the Assistant Property Manager is to be the first point of contact for the Property Management team, to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities including supporting the preparing of leases and licenses, debtor management, administering leasing documentation and maintaining records.

Working closely with the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager will also manage the University's Nomos One Property Management database system, responding to landlord and tenant queries, exploring matters, and sourcing solutions, market research, developing relationships with local landlords and attendance at property inspections for the Property and Development Team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide proactive and timely operational support to the Property Management Team
  • support the Property Manager with lease and license management on the Nomos One Property Management system
  • build relationships and manage good communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • maintain records, and provide finance/accounting support and reporting for the Property team
  • provide high level support for the wider Property & Development Team, including assisting with all aspects of Contract Management, including contract documents and financial contract management in line with University Policy and Procedures
  • coordinate and attend require property inspections, including audits of tenancies etc.

About you:

  • demonstrated experience in commercial property management and lease/licence administration
  • well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • sound Office 365 skills and working knowledge of software programs such as Hyperion Reporting System, Peoplesoft, UniBuy, Concur, Records Management, and content learning and engagement management systems
  • strong problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload tasks
  • excellent numeracy skills together with experience in controlling income/expenditure for reconciliation/budget tracking and managing invoice payments and purchases.
